MY NAME IS TINA REECE
My passion for myofunctional therapy began as a mother.
When my oldest son started showing signs that didn’t seem typical for his age, I began asking questions—questions that, at the time, had few answers. It wasn’t until later that I truly understood how powerful the tongue and oral muscles are in shaping the growth and development of the face, jaw, airway, and overall health. I was heartbroken to realize that many of his struggles may have been prevented if the early red flags had been recognized in infancy or addressed as he grew.
Myofunctional therapy has been around for decades, but only recently has research brought greater awareness to how dysfunctions of the tongue, mouth, head, and neck can impact breathing, sleep, feeding, and development. Today, with earlier intervention and collaborative care, we have the opportunity to change outcomes for children and families—often before lifelong challenges take hold.
I carry the lessons I learned with my son into every family I serve. Combined with my advanced education and clinical experience, my mission is to help parents recognize the signs earlier and feel supported along the way.
It Takes a Village is more than a business name—it’s a belief. True, lasting change happens through collaboration. I work closely with pediatricians, dentists, ENTs, and other specialists because myofunctional therapy is just one piece of a much bigger puzzle. Together, we create thoughtful, individualized care that gives children the foundation for healthier growth, better function, and a brighter future.
